Privacy & your files

Browser tools process files locally without an account or operation allowance. Selected local files stay in page memory until cleared or the page is closed.

HEIC, PDF compression, Office-to-PDF and video conversion upload the selected file to the server. YouTube downloads send its link to the server. Source uploads are deleted after processing; temporary results expire after one hour.

Saving a result is optional. Saved files are private to your account. Free files expire after 24 hours. Paid files stay while your subscription is active, within your storage allowance, until you delete them. When paid access ends, you have 30 days to download or delete those files before removal. Your saved library is read-only during that grace period. You can manage files from My files. Daily recovery backups may retain deleted file copies for up to seven days.

Accounts use a secure session cookie. Requested password-reset emails and password-change notifications are delivered through Namecheap Private Email. These messages contain your account email and recovery instructions, never your password or file contents. Reset links expire after 30 minutes. OrbitFile does not collect conversion analytics. Support chat loads only when you open it; tawk.to then receives connection and page information and stores chat messages and any attachments you choose to send. It may use cookies to maintain your conversation. Files selected in the workspace are not automatically attached to chat. Feedback is retained for 90 days. Basic security rate limits temporarily record request addresses.

The site host receives normal website requests. Fonts may load from Google Fonts; loading an embed preview connects to YouTube. Paid subscriptions use Stripe Checkout, which opens when you choose a plan.
